Britax + Series wins gold at the Good Design Awards

The Britax + Series car seat range has won a gold accolade at Australia’s peak industry design honours, the Good Design Awards.
The award was in recognition for Outstanding Design and Innovation in the Product Category at the annual event, which celebrates the best new products and services on the Australian market.
Britax Managing Director Dirk Voller said the win was an exceptional achievement for the business.
“We recognised there was a need in the market for a car seat range incorporating safety and luxury. The + Series delivers world class safety protection and luxurious comfort for babies and children and it’s fantastic our hard work and dedication creating the range has been recognised by the industry with this award win,” he said.
The range comprises four seats and incorporates advanced safety features including Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT) to protect the body and head in a side impact collision.
The seats have an added touch of luxury with quilted Thermo5 bamboo charcoal fabric, which is designed to wick moisture away and keep children cool in summer and warm in winter. The range also features memory foam body conforming properties to ensure children remain comfortable whenever they travel.
The Good Design Awards Jury spent several days evaluating each entry according to a strict set of design criteria which covers ‘good design’, ‘design innovation’ and ‘design impact’.
Projects recognised with a Good Design Award must demonstrate excellence in all areas and convince the Jury they are worthy of recognition.
The Jury praised the + Series for its impressive look and feel and its clear and well thought out safety features.
